Game Recap: Women's Soccer |

Linfield cruises over Evergreen State

For the first time since 2018, Linfield has started the fall season 2-0-0 after securing a promising 2-0 victory over Evergreen State Monday night at the Linfield Soccer Complex. Monday's win comes after a thrilling 1-0 win over Columbia Basin last Friday night.

Linfield enjoyed production from just about every position as newcomer Rae Gerking and veteran senior Sidra Griffin netted the two goals of the night for the Wildcats. Rising freshman star Julia Alvarez also contributed, totaling five shots, two of which were on goal.

Mia Curtaz facilitated the ball well Monday night, finishing the match with assists on both of Linfield's goals. Amalia Tufts added an assist of her own on Gerking's goal in the 23rd minute.

Goalkeeper Alexa Fritz remains perfect on the 2024 season, having yet to allow a goal with three saves against Evergreen State.

For the Geoducks, Alexandra Foley, Danean Wurlitzer and Angela Celedon all recorded one shot.
