MCMINNVILLE, Ore. - Linfield's final game before Northwest Conference play proved fruitful on Thursday night as the Wildcats ended the match in a 0-0 tie against the defending division three NCAA national champions California Lutheran at the Linfield Soccer Complex.
The Wildcats offense remained aggressive throughout the match on Thursday, totaling 12 shots.
Jocelyn Jacobs recorded three while
Jordan Stoner,
Lena Caballero Uhtoff and
Julia Alvarez each totaled two with
Sidra Griffin,
Ava Vargas-Quiroz and
Lize Rendon recording one.
Defensively, goalkeeper
Alexa Fritz shined for Linfield. Playing all 90 minutes of the match, she battled the Regals' attack finishing with seven saves on California Lutheran's nine total shots.
The Regals were led by Avery West with three shots and Ashley Escamilla with two. Goalkeeper Kira Kasarda anchored the defense with seven saves.
