McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Linfield needed a result in conference play following a tough prior week. The Wildcats (3-3-3, 1-2-2) and visiting Whitman Blues (4-2-3, 3-1-1) were near even in most offensive statistics but neither team could separate with the match resulting in a 0-0 draw at the Linfield Soccer Complex in McMinnville on Saturday afternoon.
The Wildcats finished with six shots, four on goal, seven corner kicks and four fouls.
Emilee Miller finished with eight saves while
Mia Curtaz,
Kamahie Samudio,
Jordan Stoner and
Amalia Tufts led the Wildcats offense with one shot on goal each. Tufts was the only Linfield player who received a yellow card.
Linfield had a couple of free kicks just outside the Whitman 18-yard box and five corner kicks in the first half but none found the back of the net.
The second half was similar to the first with both teams getting shots on target but nothing coming through for a score
The Blues finished with 13 shots, eight on goal, four corner kicks and 11 fouls. Hannah Hagler tallied four saves. Molly Beaulieu and Lindsey Honhart led the Blues with two shots on goal each.
