CLAREMONT, Calif. – Linfield (0-3-1) is still on the hunt for its first win following a 3-2 loss at Pomona-Pitzer (1-2-1) at the South Athletics Complex on Sunday morning. The Sagehens led in shots, 21-8 with the game-deciding goal coming in the 61st minute from Pomona-Pitzer's Alex Greenstein.

Seamus Miller and
Sid Kosaris accounting for a shot on target. Miller and Kosaris broke through with the two goals for the 'Cats.

Ross Vargo played all 90 minutes on the Linfield back line. Goalkeeper's
Dylan Watkins and
Matty Hourigan tallied nine combined saves.
Miller scored the first Wildcats goal in the opening three minutes of the game. The next two goals were by the Sagehens' with Kieran Veloria sneaking one in the left side and Alex Greenstein converting on a penalty kick before halftime.
Kosaris scored his first goal of the season five minutes into the second half to even the score at two. However, the Sagehens scored the final goal courtesy of a second goal from Greenstein.
The Sagehens constantly peppered the Linfield goalie's with shots on goal totaling 13. Pomona-Pitzer led in corner kicks 7-3. Greenstein was one of 10 subs the Sagehens made and led the team with two goals.

The 'Cats begin Northwest Conference play on Wednesday with a road matchup against Willamette at 8 p.m. Linfield then travels to George Fox on Sept. 17.
