TACOMA, Wash. – Linfield led by two with 2:45 left to play, but Puget Sound scored three straight goals to win 17-16 and even the season series Saturday at Baker Stadium.

Both teams got off to hot starts on attack, ending the first quarter in a 7-7 tie. Linfield led 13-10 in the opening minute of the fourth quarter, but Puget Sound's Cat Schilli fired in three goals in just over two minutes to even the score at 13-all.

The Wildcats went on a 3-1 run to jump out to a two-point lead, but the Loggers wouldn't go away as Abby Stranahan tied the game once again at 16-16 with back-to-back goals separated by just 19 seconds. Stranahan also played a part in the game-winning goal, dishing out an assist to Schilli, who sent in her game-high 10
th goal of the afternoon with 16 seconds left on the clock.

Savannah Irwin turned in her first career multi-goal performance, leading the Wildcats with five goals on 10 shots to go with an assist, a ground ball, a caused turnover and four draw controls.
Maizri Chandler found the back of the net three times while
Joelle Tran,
Mackenzie Kulick and
Leah Stednick all finished with two goals. Tran distributed three assists to set a new season high.

Erynn McCurdy's five ground balls led Linfield.
Gabby Crist caused three turnovers to lead all players.
Elena Kroll secured six draw controls and scored her third career goal to open the second quarter.

Linfield ended the season at 3-11 overall and 3-9 in Northwest Conference play in
Sarah Dalsey's first season as head coach. The 'Cats finished Saturday in sixth place in the Northwest Conference standings but will have a chance to end the season tied for fifth with UPS if the Loggers fall to Pacific on Sunday.
