Kaili Saathoff went 6 for 9 at the plate and drove in five runs to lead the 12th-ranked Linfield Wildcats to a season-opening doubleheader sweep of the Pomona-Pitzer Sagehens Friday at Wig Beach Field.

GAME 1: Linfield 6, Pomona-Pitzer 1
Saathoff and
Katie Phillips each produced three hits and
Claire Seats hit a two-run home run to pace a 10-hit Linfield attack.
Kelley was magnificent in her season debut, striking out 10 Sagehens while giving up six hits and one walk.
GAME 2: Linfield 11, Pomona-Pitzer 5
Linfield erupted for seven runs over the final two frames to turn a tight game into a rout.
Saathoff went 3 for 5 and drove in four runs and
Ashley Sutton went 3 for 4 with a double and two RBIs.
Warden struck out five batters and walked three in six innings of action.
Kelsie Williams pitched the final inning, striking out one of the three batters she faced.
