WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because as soon I stepped on campus everyone was super inviting. It's a beautiful campus that's close to home. Coach Vaughan and Linfield softball have had a lot of success in the past, he holds a high standard for the team while still having a good time. It's a program I wanted to be a part of and a place where I believe I can grow not only as a player, but also as a person.

WHAT’S THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY? The best class I've taken was probably the two accounting courses I took. It combined my two interests of math and business which allowed me to really thrive in the course. I also think it's very useful for me to have basic accounting skills moving forward with my personal and career financial decisions.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means hard work and dedication. There are many things you have to balance while playing sports and attending school. It takes a lot of strength to push through difficult times and a true passion for the game you play.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I've played three sports for a very long time. I have good time management skills because I've been balancing school and playing a sport, sometimes two, for the past four years. I've also been in many different roles while playing three sports which gives me a different perspective.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? It would have to be my parents--they have been my biggest supporters. They inspire me to put my best foot forward in everything I do. With their selflessness of time and money spent on my passion for softball I was lucky enough to continue my career. I would not have half of the opportunities I would today if it weren't for them telling me to do what I love

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHELTICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... The thing that has stuck with me the most while being here is that something is only going to be as good as you make it. You have to invest in the things you care about in order for them to give back to you. Work for what you want, and if you don't end up reaching your goals you will still be in a better spot than you were before.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY ARE... Individually, I want to give my all to this sport. It is my last year of softball and I want to make the most of the time I have left. Creating more fun memories and playing at the highest level possible with some of my best friends is all I could ask for. As a team, winning a third straight regular season NWC title and making it back to the World Series is an ultimate goal for this year. We got a taste of a good post season run last year and we are hungry/eager to get back to that spot again.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I'm unsure of what I want to do after college at the moment. Linfield offers a wide range of classes that I can apply my many skills to in order to find what I'm passionate about and what I would like to spend my life doing!
