EUGENE, Ore. –
Cade Collins was the only Linfield player to eclipse double-digit points on Friday night at the Morse Center against Bushnell. The Beacons had five players with 10 or more points and combined for 15 three-pointers in a 105-54 victory over the Wildcats.
Behind Collins' 15 total points was
Joshua Ryan with nine and
Donovan Johnson with six. The 'Cats made five out of 24 three-pointers and were held to 32.2% shooting.
Jackson Dupree snagged a team-high nine rebounds.
Bushnell opened up a 19-9 lead in the first 10 minutes behind four made threes. The Beacons then went on a 28-12 scoring run to close the first half and hold a 47-21 lead at halftime.
The Wildcats struggled to find offense in the second half seeing their first points come nearly four minutes into the period. The Beacons continued to add to their advantage with 58 more points in the second half powered by nine makes from behind the arc.
Bushnell took advantage of 22 points off turnovers and tallied 38 points in the paint. Stevie Schlabach (22) and Trevon Richmond (18) paced the scoring for the Beacons (1-2).
