TACOMA, Wash. – Linfield finished out its week against Northwest Conference leader Pacific Lutheran on Sunday afternoon. The Lutes scored twice in each half to beat the Wildcats 4-0 at East Field in Tacoma Wash.
The Wildcats finished with three shots, two corner kicks and three fouls.
Emma Mulligan tallied three saves and received the only yellow card of the match.
Jordan Stoner led the 'Cats with two shots while
Sidra Griffin also fired a shot.
Bella Hanna (77) and
Jenna Stanley (73) led the team in minutes played.
Meghan Michels opened the scoring for Pacific Lutheran, punching in an assist from Alyssa Leong in the 21st minute. Leong tallied her second assist on the day when she connected with teammate Kayden Hulquist for the Lutes' second score.
Julia Causbie scored the first goal in the second half off a free kick in the 51st minute. Only a few minutes later, Lily Dose scored the fourth and final goal for Pacific Lutheran with Joelle Buck being credited an assist.
Pacific Lutheran (12-3-1, 10-2-0) finished with 22 shots, seven on goal, 13 corner kicks and eight fouls. Goalkeeper Hannah Winkler faced three shots.
