TACOMA, Wash. – Linfield put its three-game winning streak on the line against Pacific Lutheran on Sunday afternoon in Tacoma. The Wildcats held the Lutes well below their season goal average. However, two goals from the Lutes were enough for the 2-0 victory.
The Wildcats finished with seven shots, four on goal, four corner kicks and eight fouls.
Ross Vargo led the offense with two shots on goal and
Cameron Gaines also added two shots.

Angel Hernandez and Vargo all played 90 minutes for the Wildcats.
Johann Singh Sanchez was the only Linfield player to be shown a yellow card.
Robby Guyer's goal in the opening 15 minutes gave the Lutes an early 1-0 advantage. Pacific Lutheran doubled the lead in the 51st minute with Dan Helle scoring and Sammy Tafolla being given an assist.
The Wildcats found more success on offense in the second half, having three shots on goal but none found the back of the net.
Pacific Lutheran (11-1-4, 10-0-2) finished with 19 shots, eight on goal, seven corner kicks and 11 fouls. Goalkeeper Nicholas Gaston totaled four saves.
