The Wildcats bounced back from their loss to George Fox with a 2-0 week last week. They completed an 18-7 rout of Pacific before getting their revenge on Willamette with a 16-15 win on Senior Day.
Josie Duey was named the NWC Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week after she scored 10 goals, including a match-high six goals against the Bearcats. Her sixth goal was the game-winner.
Bethany Shade leads the team with 39 goals, 23 assists, 45 ground balls, 51 caused turnovers and 103 draw controls.
Amelia Wright is right behind Shade with 38 goals while
Maia Rezoski has 34 goals to go with 11 assists.
Lizzy Harms is 9-3 in goal with 62 saves and an 11.86 goals against average. She recorded a season-high 13 saves against Occidental on March 9.
WHITMAN AT A GLANCE
Whitman is also coming off back-to-back victories with wins over Whitworth and Puget Sound. The Blues are outscoring their opponents 173-127. Erin Magnuson has scored a team-high 38 goals on 73 shots. She also leads the team with 29 ground balls. Gracie Maulik has notched 37 goals, 12 assists, 19 caused turnovers and 82 draw controls while Eliza Daigle has 31 goals. Madeleine Sherry leads the Blues with 22 assists.
Sophia Maroulis has played every minute in goal for the Blues. She is 3-2 on the season with 59 saves, a .317 save percentage and a 14.11 goals against average.
WHITWORTH AT A GLANCE
The Pirates are looking to get back in the win column after losing to Whitman and Puget Sound last week. Madison Perry leads the team with 25 goals and 77 draw controls while Anna Chase has also scored more than 20 goals with 22. Kylee Walker leads the way with 18 assists while Kenzie Hemman has 18 goals, 25 caused turnovers and 32 draw controls.
Sage Fosnock and Hannah Lew have rotated in goal for the Pirates. Lew has 59 saves while Fosnock owns a 13.92 goals against average.
HISTORY
Linfield and Whitman have met 12 times. The Blues won eight of those matches, but the Wildcats are riding a three-match win streak. The last meeting between the two teams ended in a 13-11 Linfield victory during the 2020 season.
Linfield is 6-0 against Whitworth in the all-time series. The Pirates' inaugural season was in 2019. The Wildcats have scored 112 goals in the six matches, averaging 18.67 goals per match. The 'Cats took the first meeting of the season, 12-11, on April 3 in McMinnville.
