HILLSBORO, Ore. – Josie Duey led Linfield lacrosse to a 2-0 week while Jerrica Pachl was the lone victor for Linfield track & field at the Lewis & Clark Invitational. The two standouts were named Northwest Conference Student-Athletes of the Week on Tuesday.

The NWC Lacrosse Offensive Student-Athlete of the Week, Duey notched a combined 10 goals in wins over Pacific and Willamette. In an 18-7 rout of the Boxers on Saturday, she scored four goals on seven shots, six on goal. Duey finished with a match-high six goals and dished out an assist as the Wildcats avenged their first-round loss to Willamette with a 16-15 win over the Bearcats on Senior Day. Her final goal of the afternoon proved to be the game-winner, her first of the season.

Pachl earned her second NWC Women's Field Student-Athlete of the Week award after being Linfield's only event winner. She won the high jump with a leap of 5 feet, 5¼ inches, two inches better than the second-place finisher.

Duey and Pachl join Tayah Kelley (softball) and Branden Pasion (baseball) as this week's honorees for the Wildcats. Kelley and Pasion were both recognized for their efforts on Monday.

Linfield lacrosse has three matches left on its 2022 schedule. The Wildcats will go on their eastern Washington road trip this week, playing at Whitman on Saturday and at Whitworth on Sunday with both matches starting at 1 p.m. The NWC Track & Field Championships will be hosted by Puget Sound on Friday and Saturday in Tacoma, Washington.
