Linfield to honor four seniors against No. 25 Willamette

THE RECORDS
Linfield enters the final week of the 2022 season at 5-12-1 overall and 4-8-1 in Northwest Conference play. Ranked No. 25 in the latest United Soccer Coaches poll, Willamette holds on to a narrow one-point lead over Pacific Lutheran for first place in the NWC standings. The Bearcats are 12-2-3 overall with a 10-2-1 NWC mark.
 
LINFIELD AT A GLANCE
The Wildcats rank No. 3 in the NWC with 81 saves while also ranking fifth with 209 shots. Sid Kosaris has built a junior resume worthy of all-conference recognition, leading the team with six goals, including an NWC-leading four game-winners. He's tied for the conference lead with 29 shots on goal. Marques Herrera-Kuehn, Ronan Hodge, Seamus Miller and Patrick Moes all have two goals on the year. The Wildcats will honor Herrera-Kuehn, Logan Clizer, Jakob Longbottom and Reese Nelson during Saturday's Senior Day ceremony.
 
WILLAMETTE AT A GLANCE
The Bearcats sit atop the NWC standings with 31 points and look to secure the conference's automatic berth into the postseason. They are averaging 2.59 goals per match and own a 1.06 goals against average. Pierce Gallaway leads the team with 11 goals to go with five assists, which are tied for the team lead with Drew Alexander. Gallaway's 3.06 shots per match lead the NWC. Jett Starr is second on the team with seven goals while Sean Kim has four goals and four assists. Pierluca Carnovale is 11-2-3 in goal with five shutouts, a .730 save percentage and a 1.07 goals against average.
 
THE SERIES
Willamette owns a one-match lead in the all-time series with Linfield. The Wildcats are 27-28-2 against the Bearcats since their first meeting in 1991. The longest win streak for the Wildcats was 13 straight matches between the 2003 and 2010 seasons. The Bearcats have won the last six meetings, including the first matchup of the 2022 season, a 4-1 win on Oct. 9 in Salem.
