WHY LINFIELD? Before visiting Linfield, I was unsure of whether or not I wanted to continue my soccer career in college but after my visit I realized that I couldn’t give up my life-long passion so easily. I thought what better place to do it than such a community and friendly place such as Linfield.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means putting a lot of work and effort into managing time so that you can focus on your academics as well as your athletic training. It’s tough and tiring but also builds a lot of character and is worth it in the end.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? As a student-athlete I’m unique in the fact that I personally like to learn. I sometimes actually enjoy studying material and being able to have that knowledge gives me a sense of accomplishment.
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? During my sophomore year I took a philosophy of sport class that I really enjoyed. It brought up questions about something that is a part of my daily life that I hadn’t thought of previously. It was refreshing to be able to view sport through a new perspective and learn about a different side of it.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My parents have always been my greatest role models when it comes to anything. Everything I do, I do for them and strive to be as wonderful as they are.
WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO… Hike and chill with friends.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... You can always do more. Whether that’s big things like taking time out of your day to volunteer or simply taking a couple seconds to clean up some trash. There’s always something you can do to be helpful and productive.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE… To win.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The best thing has just been having the opportunity to continue playing the game that I love being able to do that with such a cool group of guys.
