PORTLAND, Ore. – Linfield and Lewis & Clark both scored goals in the first half in a 1-1 tie Sunday afternoon at Griswold Stadium.

The Wildcats and Pioneers tied in both of their meetings in 2022, the first matchup ending in a 3-3 draw on Sept. 25 in McMinnville. The Pios outshot the 'Cats 17-8, putting 11 of those shots on goal. The 'Cats had eight shots and four shots on goal. Five of their shots came in the second half.

Celeste Schreifels struck first for Lewis & Clark in the 26th minute, scoring her team-leading sixth goal of the season off an assist by Abby Morrow. Schreifels matched teammate Megan Yanagi with three shots, putting all three on goal in 90 minutes played. Brecklyn Beighle also played the full 90, registering a match-high four shots, two on goal.

The match was less than two minutes from halftime before Sidra Griffin notched her first career goal in the 44th. She redirected a corner kick from Izzy Chauls into the left side of the net. Chauls was credited with her third assist of the season. She's tied for the team lead with Janae Lewis, Mia Curtaz and Riley Omonaka.
