Whitworth is coming off a 2-0 loss to Whitman in Walla Walla. The Pirates lead the NWC with 17.5 shots per match. Beckett Arthur leads the NWC with 40 shots and 24 shots on goal. He has five goals and four assists on the season. Tyler Wisen is right behind Arthur with four goals while Jaime Rodriguez has three goals and a team-leading five assists, which are tied for second in the NWC. Andrew Wolotira is 4-4-0 in goal with 21 saves and a 1.71 goals against average.
WHITMAN AT A GLANCE
Whitman shook off back-to-back losses to Linfield and Willamette by completing a 2-0 shutout of Whitworth last week. The Blues are averaging 1.54 goals and 16.5 shots per match. The attack is led by Noa Taylor's four goals. Edwin Romero, Jacob Burrill and Sawyer Valero all have three goals on the season. Romero is tied for third in the NWC with 1.36 shots on goal per match. Bernie Jones leads Whitman's trio of goalkeepers with 522 minutes played to go with a 1.03 goals against average.
HISTORY
Linfield is 12-33-8 in the all-time series with Whitworth. Seven of those wins came in McMinnville. The 'Cats swept the season series in 2018 and 2019, but the Pirates won both meetings in 2021. The Pirates took the first meeting of this season, winning 3-0 on Oct. 2 in Spokane.
Linfield holds a slight edge in the all-time series with Whitman, posting a 25-24-2 record against the Blues. The Wildcats have a better record in Walla Walla than they do in McMinnville. The 'Cats beat the Blues in the first meeting of the season, winning 1-0 on a Kosaris game-winner.
