TACOMA, Wash. – The Linfield volleyball team stole the second set, but Puget Sound took the match, 3-1, on Saturday night at Memorial Fieldhouse.

The Loggers won by scores of 25-15, 26-28, 25-16 and 25-22. They totaled 53 kills, eight aces, three blocks, 43 assists and 62 digs with a .240 hitting percentage.

Avery Allemann led the Loggers with 13 kills to go with three digs, a block and a .522 hitting percentage. Katherine Carley also reached double digits in kills with 11 to go with a .588 hitting percentage. Jordan Holman and Katelyn Chekian each had nine kills.

Raelynn Hammock had a match-high 16 kills with four aces, nine digs and a block. She leads the team this fall with 3.32 kills per set.

Regan Dean contributed seven kills and nine digs.

Linfield is 4-4 overall and 0-2 in conference play. The 'Cats will play at Division II Saint Martin's on Tuesday before returning home to host Whitworth on Friday and Whitman on Saturday.

LINFIELD COVID-19 PROTOCOLS
All individuals (age 12 and over) entering any athletics venue must provide proof of vaccination along with photo identification. Since all Linfield faculty, staff and students have completed this task in order to be on campus this fall, the Linfield individual must simply show their current Linfield ID.

Masks must be worn by all spectators at all times. Participants, including players, coaches, support staff and media on the sidelines, must wear masks throughout the duration of all athletic events, both indoor and outdoor, and during pregame and postgame activities.
