WHY LINFIELD??I chose Linfield because of the amazing atmosphere, great people, and even better education. Linfield is known for sciences, which I am truly passionate about, and I know when I finish schooling here, it will set me apart from other people. Also, the Study Abroad Program is incredible here, especially since Linfield pays for the first flight!
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD??It means that not only am I able to go in the classroom and learn something new every day, but I will also be able to play the sport I love with the people I love as well.
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? I took Jewish and Muslim Relations with Professor Rachel Schley. It was the most informative and eye-opening class I’ve taken at Linfield. Her enthusiasm for the subject made the class more enjoyable. Specializing in the field of history is now something I’m considering.
THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… Savor every moment. Not everyone gets to do the thing they love, so show love back when competing. At the end of our careers, we always wish we could get those last four years back. Absorb every win and loss and enjoy every laugh and interaction with your teammates.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... At the end of every practice or match, I want my teammates, coaches and myself to be proud of the work we put in. No matter the outcome of a match, if you put your best foot forward for the team, you are successful. Mentally, I hope my teammates and I give and receive grace for our efforts. We need to feel humbled to participate in this program and be a part of something bigger than ourselves.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield was being in the top 10 in the Northwest Conference in points and kills as a freshman.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE??I love what I do and I always do what I love. I am a science geek, yet I am a very competitive athlete.
WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME… Hiking, trying new foods, spending time with my closest friends and lifting.
