The Linfield men's soccer team opened its season with a 4-0 loss to NAIA Warner Pacific Wednesday night in McMinnville.
The Knights got off to an early 3-0 lead going into halftime.
Nick Evans opened the scoring with a 23
rd-minute goal off an assist by Hunter Leach. Leach scored a goal of his own in the 32
nd off an assist by Kai Flugel before Felix Nava notched another insurance goal in the 40
th, unassisted.
Arturo Bahena wrapped up the scoring with a penalty kick goal in the 81
st minute before the Knights wrapped up the shutout on the defensive end.
The Knights outshot the Wildcats 23-5 with 12 shots on goal. The 'Cats did not have a shot on goal. Junior midfielder
Romario Mendoza led the 'Cats with three shots.

Julian Inches started in goal for the 'Cats, finishing the first half with four saves. Sophomore
Peyton Frazier entered the match in the second half and made four saves of his own.
