McMINNVILLE, ORE. – Starting the second half of Northwest Conference play the Wildcats hosted the Pacific Boxers on Tuesday, April 9
th at 6:00 p.m. in Maxwell Field. Last time the two teams faced off in Forest Grove Linfield dominated with 19-4 win; this time around the Wildcats added on a few more and held the Boxers to just two goals. Linfield moves to 5-1 in NWC play with the 21-2 win over Pacific.
FIRST HALF
The first half was all Linfield as the Wildcats scored 14 unanswered goals.
Maia Rezoski got the 'Cats going as she scored the first two goals of the game for the Wildcats. It came in twos for Linfield as
Alex Jensen had the next two and then
Jenna Hessel found the back of the net for two as well.
Nathaly Sanchez got in on the scoring as she added three goals in the first half.
Josie Duey,
Molly Herrera and
Bethany Shade all recorded a goal in the first half as well.
SECOND HAlF
Linfield kept the pedal down as they scored the first four goals of the second half. Shade started it out as she scored within the first minute of play and then Herrera followed with the next three for the Wildcats. Pacific finally got on the board with 13 minutes left to play. The Wildcats answered with three straight goals after the Boxers goal. The Boxers grabbed the last goal of the game and only their third with just under two minutes left to play.

th at 1:00 p.m. at Maxwell Field and then Whitworth on Sunday at 1:00 p.m.
