McMINNVILLE, ORE. – Looking to improve to 2-0 in Northwest Conference play the Wildcats hosted the Bruins of George Fox on Saturday, March 30
th at Maxwell Field. George fox ended up taking down Linfield 20-7.
FIRST HALF
The Bruins scored in the opening ten seconds of the game and kept their foot down from then on out as they scored 14 points in the first half alone. Fox totaled ten-straight goals before the Wildcats were able to find the back of the net.
Bethany Shade and
Alex Jensen scored back-to-back goals, but the Bruins answered with three more goals. Jensen picked up her second goal of the game with just under five minutes left in the first half. The Bruins would add on to their lead and score the last goal of the half with just 2:40 left to play.
SECOND HALF
George Fox picked up right where they left off as they scored within the first two minutes of the second half. The Wildcats answered though as
Josie Duey found the back of the net for her first goal of the game. Fox would answer, but Linfield responded shortly as
Nathaly Sanchez and
Jenna Hessel each picked up their first goals of the game. The Bruins would tack on two more goals before Shade grabbed her second goal of the game for the Wildcats. With just two minutes left to play the Bruins added two more goals to their lead.

The Wildcats will travel to Willamette and take on the Bearcats on Sunday, March 31
st.
