WALLA WALLA, Wash. – Facing the top team in the Northwest Conference, the Linfield Wildcats led for the first 63 minutes before the Whitman Blues scored two goals in the second half to down the Wildcats.
The Blues had 10 shots on goal, but
Cameron Perron was there to make eight saves, which is the second most the Long Beach, California, native has had in a season.
Linfield took the lead in the first half on a goal by
Gerardo Perez, it was his second goal of the season and
Henry Rosenfeld had the assist.
The Wildcats were limited to just three shots, had just two on goal. One on the goal by Perez and the other one by
Dayton Farrow in the second half that was saved by the Blues' Owen Davis-Bower.
Whitman tied the game with a goal in the 63
rd minute on a goal by Sam Johnson. The Blues took the lead with a goal in the 84
th minute on a goal by Joe Wally.
The Blues had 16 total shots for the Wildcats, compared to just three for the Wildcats.
Whitman leads the NWC with a record of 10-2, while the Wildcats are tied for seventh with a record of 2-9-1.
