TACOMA, Wash. – After losing to the top team in the Northwest Conference on Saturday, things did not get easy for the Linfield Wildcats who lost 2-1 to the Puget Sound Loggers on Sunday, the Loggers have the second-best record in the conference behind the Pacific Lutheran Lutes.
Linfield falls to 2-3-1 in conference play, which is sixth in the conference, while Puget Sound is 4-2, which is second.
The top three teams in the conference are Pacific Lutheran, Puget Sound, and Willamette. Linfield is in the middle of a five-game stretch against those top three teams.
On Sunday, the Loggers took the lead just seven minutes into the game on a goal that went off the hands of Wildcats'
Cameron Perron.
Puget Sound added to its lead with a goal in the second half to make it 2-0.
Linfield had just one shot on goal during the afternoon and that came in the second half when
Romario Mendoza scored his second goal of the season to bring Linfield within one.
The Wildcats were not able to chase the Loggers and are now 0-2-1 in their last three, things do not get easy for the 'Cats who have three matchups coming against the top teams in the conference.

Logan Clizer and
Ruben Lopez made their first starts of the season for the Wildcats.
Perron made two saves in goal as the Wildcats have a steady between him and
Nick Van Kleek, who was in goal on Saturday.
