FOREST GROVE, Ore. – Despite 14 shots and four on goal, the Linfield Wildcats fell 2-0 to the Pacific Boxers on Saturday afternoon. Both goals by the Boxers were scored in the first half.
The Wildcats had three shots in the first 14 minutes of the game, but all went wide.
Pacific capitalized on the second shot on goal to take the lead and added another one later in the half to win the season series over Linfield as the two teams drew 1-1 in the meeting earlier this season.
Cameron Perron got the start in goal for the Wildcats and he made three saves.
Being sixth in shots per game coming into the game,
Connor Heintz had four shots on goal but only one went on goal.
Linfield is now 2-7-1 in conference play while Pacific picked up its first win in conference play and has the record of 1-6-2.
