McMINNVILLE, Ore. – Another good start for Linfield as the push past Northwest University to improve to 2-0.
The Wildcats got on the board first in the 24
th minute as

Amidee Colleknon for her third goal of the season. Just 40 seconds later
Michayla Sponsel sent one into the upper left corner of the goal from 18 yards out to increase the 'Cats lead to 2-0.
Lexi Kerr and
Taylor Cole held down the back line for Linfield as Northwest did not get a single shot off in the first half.
In the second half the Eagles tried to get a momentum shift by putting in almost a completely new team to face the Wildcats. While Linfield was able to get four more shots off in the second half they were unable to add to their lead. However, in the 85
th minute Northwest would cut the lead in half as Madison Morrow took a corner kick and placed it just right allowing Bailey Travis to head it into the goal.
The Wildcats ended the game with 13 shots, eight of them being on goal to the Eagles two shots and one being on goal.
