WALLA WALLA, WASH. – Scoring was early and often for Wildcats as they took down the Blues 6-2.
 
Kristen Burke kick started the Wildcats scoring as she was able to get a header past the Blues keeper in the 5^th minute on a cross from Ashley Guldager. In the 20^th minute Amidee Colleknon took a cross from Michayla Sponsel and headed it into the back of the net.
 
Late in the first half Sami Moellmer was able to dribble the ball past the goalkeeper from the right side and put it on the far post to extend the 'Cats lead to 3-0.
 
In the 74^th minute Michayla Sponsel increased Linfield's lead to 4-0 after she took a pass from Burke. Sponsel scored a second time four minutes later when Whitman's goalkeeper came out of the box and was unable to get the ball allowing Sponsel to tap it into the net. 
 
Whitman was able to get back to back goals in the 86^th and 87^th minutes to cut Linfield's lead to 5-2.
 
Jamie Mars added a goal in the 89^th minute as she received a pass from Lauren Frost and was able to put the ball into the left corner.

Linfield will continue their Washington road trip as they take on Whitworth on Sunday, October 28^th at noon.
