FOREST GROVE, ORE.—Last time the Boxers and Wildcats squared off the ended in a 1-1 tie in McMinnville.
Pacific scored first off of a set piece from 20 yards out as Grant Rutledge sent a pass to Woodey Greer and he found the back of the net in the 19
th minute. The Boxers extended their lead to 2-0 in the 41
st minute as Grant Garcia was able to connect with Jake Castanha.
In the 64
th minute
Isaias Flores was able to cut the Boxers lead in half as he got the Wildcats on the board when he buried a penalty kick into the back of the net.
Irvin Figueroa tied the match up in the 83
rd minute as he took a direct free-kick and curled the ball into the upper left corner of the goal.
Neither team would be able to score a third time in regulation or the two overtime periods. Linfield was able to get 36 shots off with 10 of them being on goal compared to Pacific's eight shots with two of them being on goal.
