McMINNVILLE, ORE. – The Wildcats continue to dominate at home as they took down George Fox on Sunday, October 14
th. Linfield is now 7-3-4 overall and 4-2-4 in the Northwest Conference.
In the 15
th minute of the match up the Wildcats got on the board first when Kristine Burke was able to find the back of the net off of a rebounded shot from six yards out. Before the end of the first half
Jamie Mars was also able to find the back of the net when she took a ball of a rebounded shot by
Carole Thomas and extended the 'Cats lead to 2-0 in the 38
th minute.
George Fox was not going to go down without a fight however, as they picked up their first goal of the match in the 63
rd minute and cut Linfield's lead in half. Madison Huesers was the goal scorer as she took a free kick from 40 yards out and was able to find the back of the net.
The Wildcats were able to produce 12 total shots with six of them being on goal compared to the Bruins 10 total shots and five of them being on goal.
