WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD? I chose Linfield University because, during my college visits, it was the most welcoming of the four schools I visited. The strong athletic program, including a competitive basketball team with dedicated coaching and athlete support, stood out to me. Linfield also has a solid academic reputation, offering a great balance between academics and athletics. I loved the athletic facilities, especially the Ted Wilson Gymnasium, and appreciated the strong sense of community and the robust support system for athletes. I truly feel I can grow and excel here.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? Being a student-athlete at Linfield means being a Wildcat with pride and representing the school with high standards, both on and off the court. It's about discipline, teamwork, leadership, and resilience-qualities that extend beyond athletics and shape who I am as a person. It's not just about excelling in my sport, but also about developing lifelong skills that will prepare me for success in the future. At Linfield, being a student-athlete means striving for excellence in everything I do, while also building a strong foundation for my personal and professional development.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Participating in sports, especially basketball since I was six, has taught me valuable life lessons like building relationships, staying dedicated, and developing resilience. It’s shaped who I am today by teaching me how to overcome challenges, stay focused, and work as part of a team. These experiences have made me more disciplined, determined, and accountable.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? In 10 years I hope to have a career in basketball.
