WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY?
The best class I have taken here at Linfield so far has to be JAMS 150: Living in a Media World. I took this class to cover one of my LCs, but even though it had very little to do with my actual major, I found it really fascinating. Professor Huntsberger made the subjects interesting and easy to engage with. I feel like I really came out of that class with a better understanding of media theory, media history, and how media plays an ever-growing important role in our society today. The workload was also extremely manageable, despite the busy schedule of a student-athlete, and even now, I reference the information I learned from this class with my family and friends.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
One of the greatest inspirations in my life so far is definitely my old high school hurdle coach, Larry Binkerd. A former wildcat (class of 65), who also competed as a multiple-sport collegiate athlete, was always extremely supportive of goals. He is a big reason I attended Linfield and the reason I ever became a hurdler in the first place. He was always understanding of my busy schedule, between school, soccer, and track, but still found ways to help me improve and prepare for every meet. I likely wouldn't be where I am today, and I'm so grateful to have him in my corner.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN...
The greatest principle I have learned so far here at Linfield is to trust the process. It's safe to say I had a lot of ups and downs during this school year. There were so many days when practice just felt impossible, or I got down on myself, falling into the trap of comparing myself to other people. I can't say that doesn't still happen, but sometimes all you need is to take a step back and look how far you've come. If I told myself at the beginning of the year what I accomplished, like making it to the Track & Field Conference Meet or achieving my goal of making it on the Women's Soccer team, I don't know if I would have believed it. As an athlete, you always want to chase the next thing, to get better, or faster, or stronger, which is definitely important, don't get me wrong, but this year has 100% how to also enjoy that process along the way.

AS A LINFIELD-STUDENT ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE...
As a Linfield student-athlete, my goal is to become the best version of myself. While this may sound a bit cliche, it's true. Being at college provides a freedom that has been unavailable to me until now and having the autonomy to make decisions about the kind of work ethic I want to have, the attitude I put out into the world, and the person I become is a truly incredible experience.

With that, I want to use that new version of myself to drive others. I have always found that I improve the most when competing against those who are better than me. So, I want all of my teammates to bring that same drive with them, so we can keep improving as individuals and as a team.
