Good community, I felt welcomed, and wanted by not only the coaches, but the teachers and players that I talked to.
WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
Although I am able to be a student, I’m also able to be an athlete. I will balance my education and sport and pursue not only my education, but my soccer career.
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
It’s made me more confident in myself and helped me grow as a person. I’ve been able to learn I’m a great leader and have learned communication skills.
WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
I hope to be in law school or graduated from law school and making a difference in the world. I also hope to be living a happy and healthy life with those around me.
WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN?
My Sports Marketing class with Professor Max Klein, has been my favorite class at Linfield because it combined my interest for sports with real-world business concepts in an engaging way. The course kept me interested while helping me better understand the sports industry. Professor Klein made the experience even better by genuinely caring about our learning and encouraging every student to succeed.
WHAT HAS BEEN YOUR FAVORITE MEMORY OF BEING A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE SO FAR?
My favorite memory of being a Linfield student-athlete has been the travel trips with my team, especially going to play in Spain my freshman year.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE?
My parents have been the greatest inspirations in my life. Their unwavering support, encouragement, and belief in me have shaped who I am today. They’ve made countless sacrifices to provide for me, always offering guidance, wisdom, and unconditional love. Watching their resilience and determination in the face of challenges has taught me the true value of perseverance, and the importance of staying committed to my goals, no matter the obstacles.

One of the greatest lessons I’ve learned from competing in athletics at Linfield is the value of resilience. The sport has taught me how to push through adversity, stay focused under pressure, and bounce back from setbacks with determination. Whether it’s a tough loss, an injury, a grueling practice, or balancing academics and athletics, soccer has shown me that growth comes from persistence and embracing challenges head-on. This mindset has shaped not only the way I play, but also how I approach life beyond the field.
