WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because from the moment I arrived on campus for my recruiting visit, I immediately felt at home. Everyone I met was incredibly kind, and I never felt like an outsider. The soccer team in particular is one of the most amazing groups of people I have ever met, and it made me really excited about the idea of going to Linfield. The academics are also very strong, and I have always been able to learn best in the small-school, liberal arts environment that is present at Linfield. It feels like home! Go 'Cats!
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete at Linfield means everything to me. I have always had the dream of being able to take both soccer and academics to the next level in a place where I know I will be challenged yet always supported. I can't wait to give everything I've got in the classroom and on the field!
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I love to meet and work with new people. I always try really hard to make sure that my friends and peers feel like they are taken care of and feel appreciated whether on the field or in the classroom. I also have torn my ACL twice and had a small bout with cancer all in the last three years and have been able to learn the patience and determination from those experiences that I needed to keep playing the sport that I love.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus, as of right now, is exercise science and human performance with the intent of physical therapy in the long run. Linfield has very strong exercise science, health science and pre-medical programs that I know will help prepare me for my future career. I also love learning in smaller, more personable environments like those at Linfield.
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? Psychology 101 because it was so fascinating to dive into the brain and its many impacts on our mentality and way of life.
WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME… Hanging out with family and friends and doing outdoor activities.
THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… Everything matters! Every run, practice, rehab session etc. matters, and I should never take anything for granted.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield career thus far has been getting to play with such an incredible group of women.
