I chose Linfield because of its community and the academic and athletic opportunities the school offers.

Being a student-athlete means balancing your dedication to both academics and sports. It requires discipline, time management, and the ability to prioritize responsibilities while pursuing personal and team goals.
 
HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Playing in sports has instilled in me valuable qualities such as discipline, resilience, and teamwork. It has taught me the importance of perseverance in the face of challenges, and the satisfaction of setting and achieving goals through hard work. Sports have also fostered my ability to collaborate effectively with other and to handle both success and setbacks.
 
WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY?
The best class I’ve taken at Linfield was Anatomy. It was both incredibly challenging and rewarding. What made it stand out was how hands-on and detailed the course was. We didn’t just memorize structures—we really learned how the human body works as an interconnected system. The lab work, especially using models and diagrams, made the material come to life and helped me understand how form supports function.
 
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
My greatest inspiration in life has been my mom. She’s shown me what strength, perseverance, and compassion truly look like. No matter what challenges she’s faced, she’s always put others before herself and found a way to keep moving forward with a positive attitude. Watching her work hard—whether for our family, her job, or her community—has taught me the value of dedication and resilience.

The greatest lesson I’ve learned while competing in athletics at Linfield has been the value of discipline and consistency. Success doesn’t come from one great performance—it’s built through showing up every day, even when it’s hard, and giving your best effort. Being part of a team also taught me how important it is to trust others, communicate, and lead by example. Wins and losses come and go, but the habits and mindset I’ve developed through sports have shaped me as a student, teammate, and person.
