WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because as soon as I visited, I could see myself here as a student-athlete. I am excited to be a part of the soccer program as well as challenging myself academically. As a small college town, Linfield has the support and community I was looking for in a school.

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means that I have the chance to play the sport I love while simultaneously continuing my education. It also means to work hard both in and out of the classroom. As a student athlete, I am always improving myself on the field and in class.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? Initially, playing at the college level wasn’t in the mix when I was picking schools. It wasn’t until my senior year that I realized that I wanted to continue playing. I realized that I looked forward to soccer trainings at the end of my day. Playing soccer is my extra motivation to work hard in school and balance my studies with training.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I am not sure what I want to do in the future, but I do know that I will find something that will allow me to move back to Maui. I want to go back home and contribute to the community that helped raise me. Being from Hawai’i, we often see that those who go away for college don’t return because of the high cost of living. I believe that the professors and staff at Linfield will guide and assist me to find what is right for me.
