WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD? The campus immediately felt like home from the moment I went on my first visit. I wasn’t sure what I wanted to study, but Linfield has all of the academic programs that I was interested in. The soccer team and coaching staff were welcoming and I knew I could make an immediate impact.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? It means being in a community of student-athletes that are all driven to succeed. It also means having great time management skills so I am able to be the best I can be in the classroom and on the field.

WHAT’S THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY? My education classes which taught me so much about understanding students and connecting with them. It's amazing to translate those lessons to the classroom and see them actually work! My professors helped me recognize my passion in teaching others and the confidence to pursue my goals!

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Sports have given me an outlet for my competitive energy and allowed me to express myself. I have learned the value of hard work and time management. I’m lucky to have met new people and travel to cool places.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My mom has been the greatest inspiration because she's demonstrated the importance of working hard and pursuing something you love. She completely changed careers to follow her passion in education even when others said that she should stick with her career in healthcare. She has also taught me the importance of being self-sufficient but being selfless in helping the people you care about. She inspires me to be the best version of myself and help those around me.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... Being all in. That's something that people at Linfield mentioned a lot when I was being recruited but I didn't quite understand it. Now I see that it means giving your all in every area of your life. Linfield gives you the opportunity to be involved in many different things, and it's vital that you make the most of it because you only have four years!

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? I will continue to play soccer and coach at the club, high school or collegiate level. I also see myself teaching English to students whose first language is Spanish.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... My goal is to be the best player and person so that I can help the team be the best.
