WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD? Linfield checked all the boxes. It offers a beautiful campus with a small-town feel, great professors, incredible athletic facilities and the opportunity to play soccer at the next level.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? Being a student-athlete means a lot to me. I play for the love of my sport but also for the enjoyment that comes from being a part of such a welcoming family and community. As I pursue a degree, it’s important for me to always be learning both on and off the field.

WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN??? Economics of Running allowed me to collaborate with my classmates to organize a local race event. This unique approach helped solidify my understanding of the concepts we discussed throughout the semester while providing a valuable real-world experience.

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Participating in sports has made me a better person from a leadership. standpoint. Soccer has required me to strengthen my communication with my teammates, commit to my ideas without hesitation and increase my endurance to fight through tough situations.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? It's impossible to choose just one person, because my friends, family, and teammates have all inspired me in different ways. However, my teammates have quickly become some of my closest friends, and in many ways, I’ve embraced them as my family. I’m continually inspired by their dedication and support both on and off the field.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN? “Get comfortable with being uncomfortable” – Steve Simmons. As a freshman, I knew I would need to step outside of my comfort zone and try new things. Coach Simmons taught me to expect and accept mistakes, and not to be embarrassed by them, but to view them as opportunities to become a better player and a better person.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... Linfield Athletics represents a high standard. My coaches will continue to push us to be the best we can be, while my teammates and I will hold each other accountable. This commitment will enable us to improve with every practice, compete in every contest, and maximize our potential both on and off the field.
