WHY LINFIELD? I chose Linfield because I liked the small enrollment size, the look and feel of the campus, and the fact that we have a lacrosse team. None of the other schools I applied to had a lacrosse team, so once I toured Linfield and realized that I really liked the campus, that definitely sealed the deal for me!

WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete means that I have to be able to easily and successfully manage my time so I can get all of my school work done, participate in all practices and games, and still have adequate time to be social and focus on myself.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? Something that makes me unique and accomplished as a student-athlete is my capability to channel my feelings on the field into how I play. If something gets on my nerves in a game situation, I am now easily (after several years of working hard on it) able to direct that frustration or annoyance into playing better and harder.

WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I don't currently have a set career path; however, Linfield is helping me by presenting several different career options in the psychology field and offering an array of classes to take.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? The best class I have taken at Linfield was Coaching as a Profession with professor Larry Doty. This class was both informational, educational and entertaining. Professor Doty taught the class using his life experiences with coaching and playing sports, and it was a great way to really learn in depth and how to become the best coach you can be!

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…Facetiming my dog back at home, hanging out with my teammates and going on last minute adventures with my teammates.

THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…Do not take anything for granted. Get out on the field and give it your all, because you never know when it's going to be taken away from you. Don't let anything get in your way of playing to your full potential; work out problems with teammates, go to the treatment center if you are injured and channel your feelings into how you play.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my Linfield athletic career was being named first-team all-Northwest Conference as a freshman.
