Tristan Zehner is in her first year as assistant coach at Linfield.
“Coach Z” has played, umpired and coached lacrosse in the west for over 14 years. She played collegiate lacrosse at Boise State, umpired for youth and collegiate teams, and coached a youth team in Idaho.
She lettered and was among the leading scorers each year her prep career at Boise High School and Temecula Valley High School.
As a utility player herself, she values helping players become well-rounded on and off the field.
Zehner previously worked in human resources where she recruited nursing students and connected them with professional opportunities. She also worked as a volunteer coordinator and helped college students find local community service projects. She then earned her master’s degree in education and moved back to Oregon to continue her passion of helping others.
In addition to coaching, Zehner is an elementary school teacher. When she is not working, she is likely exploring the outdoors with her husband and two dogs.
