WHY LINFIELD? I chose to attend Linfield for the strong academics, the competitive softball team, and the unique community here on campus. Everyone was so welcoming and Linfield felt like my home and where I wanted to be from the very first moment I came onto campus.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE MEAN TO YOU? Being a student-athlete at Linfield means having a higher expectation for not only myself but for my teammates on and off the field. By being at Linfield, I push myself to be the best I can in both the classroom and on the field.

WHATS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is to become a physical therapist. Linfield is helping me by allowing me to major in exercise science which has a wide range of information and classes regarding the field I want to be in after I graduate.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? The best Linfield class I have taken so far is my first aid and CPR class. I learned so many useful things from performing CPR and how to deal with keeping someone calm during a life-threatening situation. Although this class was a requirement, I thoroughly enjoyed taking it and would definitely recommend someone to take it and especially with professor Larry Doty!

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…Traveling and doing outdoor activities, such as going downtown and hiking with friends.

THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…Not take any day for granted. Since our 2020 season was cut short, I now know that not every day is guaranteed and I have to play every day like it’s my last because we never know what could happen.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my career was our first home games of the season last year against Pacific. I got to pitch two complete games and got pitcher of the week and I'm so thankful to have had that opportunity to pitch at home for the first time.
