WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD? I chose to play softball at Linfield because my dad went to Linfield for his undergraduate and played baseball here. The academic opportunities fit what I want from a college experience and pairs with a competitive, disciplined softball team. Linfield offers the opportunity for me to simultaneously pursue athletic and academic excellence.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? Being a Student-Athlete at Linfield means that I will put the entirety of my effort into succeeding on the field, in the weight room, the classroom, and wherever else life may take me. It also means that I can take the life skills I learn from my coaches, professors, and peers with me after my career at Linfield.

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? Being an athlete has made me a better person because I grew up as a shy kid, and sports has pushed me out of my comfort zone and allowed me to better my social skills. I have also learned the value of work ethic, discipline, and prioritizing important areas of my life.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS? I would love to go into a career of Juvenile Attorney or a Juvenile Counselor.

WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY? The best class I've taken at Linfield was Study of Law with Robin Barklis over Jan Term. Robin is an incredible professor that is dedicated to making his material engaging and creating an environment that best facilitates our learning. The class was fascinating and covered a ton of material that is super important for our understanding of how law functions in our daily lives.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My Dad is, and always has been my greatest role model. He demonstrates how to be disciplined and practice strong work ethic. My dad has taught me life lessons that I don't believe I would understand if it wasn't for him. He continues to inspire me with his outlook on life and dedication to his job and his family.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... The best lesson I've learned since playing softball at Linfield is to be practice-oriented. We spend many more hours practicing than we do playing games, and I've learned that to truly enjoy the sport, you have to understand the importance of focused practice. Having exceptional results within the game is the goal, but you won't get there unless you first become detail-oriented in how you practice.

AS A LINFIELD-STUDENT ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE... My personal goal as a student athlete at Linfield is to work hard enough that when I look back on my career, I will know that I gave softball, school, and all aspects of my college career everything I had. It's comes naturally to work hard consistently if you are surrounded by like-minded teammates, and I am fortunate in that my teammates show immense dedication and respect for softball, the weight room, and the classroom. I know that with our work ethic the team can accomplish our goal of improving as athletes, quality people, and continuing to be recognized as a top program in the nation.
