WHY LINFIELD? I grew up hearing about Linfield, my uncle is a Linfield alum so every once-in-a-while I’d hear a tale or two about his experience at Linfield. When I first visited the Linfield campus, I was only about 12. At that age, thinking about college wasn’t a regular thought. Yet, even at 12, I still admired the scenic and captivating campus that Linfield had to offer. Last summer, when I returned to the campus for a tour, I felt a sense of belonging that I hadn’t felt at any other college campus. With that sense of belonging, paired with the opportunity to excel in a friendly and supportive academic environment, it made choosing Linfield a no-brainer.
 
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete at Linfield means having a great opportunity to surround myself with supportive teammates and coaches, who will become life-long friends. Having these friends supporting me will most definitely help me academically, as I’ll have more close resources that can help on the school-side of things.
 
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? All around life-balance is a unique characteristic that is built by a student-athlete. The ability to balance school, sports and personal life is sometimes tricky, but a great life skill.
 
WHAT’S THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY? Environmental Economics was a class that I really enjoyed. The Professor was exceptional which made the course easier and more enjoyable.
 
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? My parents have easily been the most influential in my life. I wouldn’t be as successful as I am without them.
 
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSION THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… Making sure that I’m always doing my individual part for the team. If everyone on the team does that, it makes life easier for everyone on the team.
 
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE… I just want to better myself every day, whether it be academically or athletically. I know my teammates have the same mentality, so hopefully as a team we are hungry for improvement all of the time.
 
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? As an incoming freshman, I’m unsure what I’ll choose career-wise, but Linfield has already put me in a stress-free and supportive environment which will help me make the best choices possible down the road.
