WHY LINFIELD?
I chose to attend Linfield because coming from New Zealand, I’ve always wanted to study at a university in Oregon. Linfield’s academics, soccer program, and staff impressed me, so I know that Linfield will be great for me.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU?
Being a student-athlete at Linfield gives me the opportunity to study and play a sport that I love thousands of miles from home. To me, it means staying disciplined which helps me live a healthy lifestyle by balancing studying and sports.

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON?
Playing sports has made me a better person by teaching me how to work with others as a team and to be disciplined in everything I do. These have helped me get to where I am today.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
In 10 years, I see myself looking back, feeling proud of my achievements and memories I have made. I would want to build upon these as I carry on doing whatever it is I’m doing.

WHAT'S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU'VE TAKEN AND WHY?
PHYS 211 - Introduction to Electricity and Magnetism is the best class I have taken at Linfield. It helped me start to form a mental connection between physics concepts and real-world application, which is something I've been waiting to learn for a while. It has set a solid foundation for my future in physics.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN...
Competing in athletics at Linfield has reinforced my understanding of the idea of getting 1% better every day. Being a part of a team at this level, while working on yourself to be at the level required of the team is challenging. Although it may feel like not much progress is being made, you must have the mental strength to understand that it takes time and dedication to achieve your goals.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE...
As a Linfield student-athlete, my main goal is to continue excelling both academically and in the Men's Soccer environment by staying dedicated to my studies and focused during trainings and games.

For the team, I want everyone to continue working hard for each other, on and off the field. This means being mentally and physically fit to give everything you've got in-game and in training, as well as striving to excel in the classroom so we can continue to maintain a solid team-wide GPA.
