WHAT ARE THE REASONS YOU CHOSE TO ATTEND LINFIELD?
Linfield has data science, the people are extremely nice, and I was offered to play on the men’s soccer team.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD MEAN TO YOU? It means the world to me. I get to continue playing the sport I love, and I get to continue studying math and learn how to use it for a career in the future.

HOW HAS PARTICIPATING IN SPORTS MADE YOU A BETTER PERSON? I have learned self-control, patience and perseverance. I have made many friends through sports and will be making more to come.

WHERE DO YOU SEE YOURSELF IN 10 YEARS?
I see myself either playing professional soccer or working for a soccer team using data science.

WHAT’S THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD AND WHY?
Machine Learning. I got to learn about different machine learning techniques and then program my own from scratch. It was a lot of fun, and I could do it for hours on end without getting bored.

WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL?
My dad. All my life he has been an example to me of how to act and treat others. He has instilled his drive of hard work in me and helps push me every day to be better.

THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE OR LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…
Always give your best every day. Give 100% of what you can on a day. If you are injured, do all you can to recover. If you are feeling worn down, still give your all that day, even if when you are at your best, you can give better. It does not matter how you are doing; you can always give 100% on the day to what you are doing.

AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE…
I hope to get all A’s this semester and get through the season without any major injuries or sicknesses. For the team my goal is for us to win conference.
