WHY LINFIELD? I loved what the Linfield community had to offer. I found a way to play softball while getting the degree I wanted. Linfield gave me the opportunity to play softball for 4 years while still becoming a nurse and that was the most important thing for me. Once I stepped foot on this campus I instantly felt at home. The people are so amazing and genuine and I was amazed at how such a small school could have so much to offer. If I had to choose between southern California and Oregon, I would choose Oregon any day.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE MEAN TO YOU? It means working twice as hard as the average student to possibly get the same grade. It means being both physically and mentally tough and being better prepared for what life has to offer than the average person.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? What makes me interesting as a student-athlete is how I am capable of taking an exam in an airport on the way to Regionals, be able to wake up and go to class for 6 hours followed by a 4-hour practice and still be able to stay up and write a 10-page paper (then do it all again the next day), and be able to do all the things I just listed with minimal mental breakdowns because I know in the end everything I am doing right now will get me to where I want to be in my future.

WHATS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I am focusing on graduating Linfield with an exercise science major and then plan on applying to Linfield's accelerated nursing program where I will become a Labor and Delivery Nurse. Linfield has helped me so much through this process and I can continue to play the sport I love for four years while still getting the degree I want.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? My favorite class I’ve taken at Linfield was Anatomy! Working with cadavers and learning about the body was very interesting!

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…Hanging out with my roommates. We always have a good time, whether it is watching movies or going on long drives with the windows down blasting music and pretending we can sing well.

THE GREATEST LESSON I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…Be a coffee bean! Coach Vaughan had me read a book my sophomore year, and what I learned from it is that you can either let the environment around you change who you are or be the person who positively changes the environment around them! Don't be a carrot or an egg, be the coffee bean!

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? I can't pick one, because CatBall has literally changed my life, and everything we do gives me more purpose. The program is great, but it is the people that make it so great and the memories we make will stay with me for the rest of my life.
