WHY LINFIELD? I chose to come to Linfield to continue my education and softball career at a school that would challenge me athletically and educationally.

WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE MEAN TO YOU? Being a Student-Athlete at Linfield to me means that you are representing more than yourself on and off the field. You represent a community and, by being involved, you have an opportunity to bring people together and make lasting impacts on the program you are in and the people around you.

WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? What makes me interesting and unique as a student-athlete is the values that I hold myself to. I have been trained athletically on the aspect of being a good teammate on and off the field, which means holding your teammates accountable and being their biggest support system when they need it.

WHATS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? My career focus is exercise science to become a Certified Athletic Trainer or a Physical Therapist in the future. Linfield is helping me achieve this by providing me with the opportunities to learn, grow and explore in this field of study.

WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? My favorite class I’ve taken at Linfield would have to be Prevention and Care of Athletic Injuries. It is one of my favorites because it ties into what I want to do after Linfield which is athletic training.

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…at my job. I work for the Linfield Athletic Training Department and have been given some pretty cool opportunities since the bachelor’s degree is no longer available here. Duane Duey, Greg Hill and Krista Francisco-Sluss, along with all the students have been very welcoming and have taught me so much over the past year.

THE GREATEST LESSON I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN…You're always doing what you are doing for something bigger than yourself. Whether that be challenging your teammates to be better or encouraging them to continue when they are doubting themselves and their abilities. This is what Catball is really built upon and is something that I will always value.

WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? The highlight of my career was going down to California and playing for the first time with my teammates. The energy and excitement was something I had never felt before and is something that I cannot wait to experience again this upcoming season.
