WHAT DOES BEING A STUDENT-ATHLETE MEAN TO YOU? Being a student-athlete gives me a dual identity. Here at Linfield, I am not only being pushed on the field but in the classroom as well. Having the identity of being a student-athlete shows that I am not afraid of a challenge. I love being part of a community that motivates me as well as holds me accountable for more people than myself.

WHAT’S THE BEST LINFIELD CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AND WHY? My favorite class I have taken has been marketing. This course offered hands-on learning of interview techniques, personal networking and career research. I learned a lot about my professional strengths and weaknesses through mock interviews and class assignments. The final presentation was graded by a group of business professionals.

WHATS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I am an interesting case in the way I have switched my major three times while being here at Linfield. I am still very unsure about what my future career path will be but the staff here at Linfield has been so supportive as I slowly map out where my passions will take me. Every single person I have gotten the honor to speak with has made me excited about so many areas of study it has been difficult to pick just one. It's definitely made my experience unique.

WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO SPEND MY FREE TIME…Adventuring deep into the mountains with only a backpack full of gear and my best friends. Hiking and camping are where I find my happiness.

THE GREATEST LESSON THAT I’VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN… I learned that it’s important to enjoy the moment because circumstances can change in a blink of an eye. I have also learned about resilience and how to lean on my teammates for strength through hard times.
