WHY LINFIELD? I really like being in the Pacific Northwest. I was drawn to the beautiful campus and awesome athletic facilities. Linfield also offered programs in environmental studies and wine studies.
WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO BE A STUDENT-ATHLETE AT LINFIELD? Being a student-athlete gives me extra motivation to represent my school in a positive way. Whenever, I am on the field, I show my opponents the same respect that I show my teammates and coaches.
WHAT MAKES YOU INTERESTING AS A STUDENT-ATHLETE? I love playing defense. Most people focus on scoring goals, but I love to defend and facilitate the game.
WHAT IS NEXT AFTER LINFIELD? I hope to use my degree in environmental studies to work on the coast possibly for a fishery or even being a guide for tour boats. I want to help others realize that we need to take care of our planet now.
WHAT IS THE BEST CLASS YOU’VE TAKEN AT LINFIELD? Wine 101- I really enjoyed learning about the different wine regions and the grapes grown in each region. It helped spark my interest in looking at something in the wine field after graduation.
WHO HAS BEEN THE GREATEST INSPIRATION IN YOUR LIFE? WHY HAS HE OR SHE BEEN SO INFLUENTIAL? My parents are my biggest inspiration. I was adopted from Vladivostok Russia when I was two. They have always worked so hard to make sure I have everything I need to succeed, something I would not have received if I had grown up in Russia.
WHEN NOT COMPETING IN SPORTS OR STUDYING FOR SCHOOL, I LIKE TO…Play video games and fish.
THE GREATEST PRINCIPLE THAT I'VE LEARNED WHILE COMPETING IN ATHLETICS AT LINFIELD HAS BEEN... Just look forward and don't dwell on the past. I have suffered some season-ending injuries, but I haven't given up. I look forward to having a successful senior season.
AS A LINFIELD STUDENT-ATHLETE, MY GOALS INDIVIDUALLY AND COLLECTIVELY FOR MY TEAM ARE… In our first full year under Coach Duvall, I hope we can come together and build on what we learned in 2020-21 and have a successful season and make the playoffs.
WHAT HAS BEEN THE HIGHLIGHT OF YOUR LINFIELD CAREER THUS FAR? It hasn't happened yet. After transferring to Linfield, my first season was plagued by injuries. Luckily, I was giving a medical waiver and I still have two seasons of eligibility.
