TACOMA, Wash. --- Douglas Bailey and Linfield men's golf continued their record-setting Spring season by winning their fourth consecutive team title and Bailey's second medalist honor on Sunday at the Northwest Conference Spring Classic at Oakbrook Golf Club.

For Bailey, it's his second win of the season and third of his career, moving him into third in career wins in program history (3). Bailey had an up-and-down front nine in round one, making four birdies but shooting even par. He then made nine-straight pars on the back nine for a 71 and in fifth individually. On Sunday, the senior cleaned it up. Making just two bogeys with his three birdies and an eagle to shoot three-under 68 and earn medalist by a five-stroke margin.

The Wildcats led by seven strokes after Saturday's round, partly thanks to a one-under 70 from senior Kellen Hudson and a one-over 72 from Ryder Ng. The two 'Cats swapped rounds, with Ng firing a final round 73 and Hudson a 75 to each tie for fifth place.

Brody Landaker's tournament got started as well as you could have hoped, making an eagle on the par-five first hole on Saturday, closing the round with a 76. He imporved by one shot on Sunday to fire a 75 and place 17th for the tournament.

Owen Irving contributed to the team score on Saturday with a 75, entering Sunday in 16th place. Irving fell back to 36thto finish the tournament with an 81 on Sunday.

Linfield won the team title by eight strokes over Whitman, providing a wealthy swing in the conference standings with one NWC event left to play. Bailey's final round 68 marked the lowest by any athlete in the field for either round, helping him earn a five-stroke victory over George Fox's Eli Harrell.

With one NWC-sanctioned tournament left to play, the Northwest Conference Championships at Pumpkin Ridge in North Plains, Oregon, men's golf boasts a cumulative one-stroke lead on the Whitman Blues and three strokes on the Willamette Bearcats. The final tournament of the season essentially serves as a winner-take-all for the three teams hoping to earn the automatic qualifier into the NCAA Division III Championships.

The Wildcats aim to continue their momentum into next weekend's Wildcat Invite at Michelbook Country Club in McMinnville, teeing up round one on Saturday.
