Linfield men's golf tallied three All-Northwest Conference honorees, as well as earning the Player and Coach of the Year awards after a successful season that found the Wildcats in the hunt for the season-long title.

Junior from Durham, Oregon,
Douglas Bailey successfully defended his NWC Championship Medalist title, once again via a playoff. Bailey carded rounds of 68, 69, for a five-under total for the two days. He sank a birdie in the first playoff hole to win back-to-back medalist honors, also capping off his third win of the spring season.Â

Bailey earned First Team All-NWC and was named the conference's Player of the Year with a scoring average of 72.2, winning two of the three NWC-sanctioned events.Â

Head Coach and Director of Golf,
Mitch Wilson, earned the NWC's Coach of the Year in his seventh season at the helm of the program. Wilson coached the 'Cats to No. 41 in the Clippd Scoreboard national rankings, going 37-15-1 with four consecutive team wins this Spring.Â

Freshman
Brody Landaker had a successful first season of collegiate golf, named to the Northwest Conference Second Team. The North Plains, Oregon, native finished top-five at the NWC Championship after leading the field at five-under following the opening round. Landaker finished the season strong with a T-1 finish at the Wildcat Invite, posting a 74.1 scoring average in 19 total rounds.Â

Owen Irving made Third Team All-NWC in his first season as a Wildcat. Irving totaled a 75.8 scoring average in 15 rounds, with his best finish (4
th) coming at the NWC Fall Classic back in October.Â

The men's golf season has come to a close, finishing second in the overall Northwest Conference season aggregate stroke total, finishing 11-strokes behind the Willamette Bearcats. Bailey and the team continue to hold out hope for an at-large and individual bid into the NCAA Division III National Championship in May. Selections are set to be announced on May 4 on the NCAA website. Â
