NORTH PLAINS, Ore. --- Douglas Bailey repeated as the Northwest Conference's medalist in the final NWC event of the season, firing rounds of 68, 69 (-5), winning in a playoff, while the Wildcats placed second as a team.

Entering the tournament, Linfield held a one-stroke lead over Whitman and a three-stroke margin over Willamette in the team aggregate stroke total standings.

Round one started off strong as freshman Brody Landaker made four birdies in his first seven holes to take an early lead individually. Landaker made just one bogey and five total birdies in the opening round to sit atop the individual standings after round one with a four-under 67.

Junior Douglas Bailey cruised close behind, making two bogeys and five birdies on his way to a three-under 68 and enter the final round in second. Kellen Hudson also made five birdies in Sunday's round, shooting two-under 69.

Ryder Ng closed out the team score with a two-over 73 and Owen Irving fired 79, putting the Wildcats in first place as a team by one stroke after round one.

Bailey continued rolling the rock, going three-under in his first six holes of the final round. He then made three more birdies on his second-nine, the front nine. He held a two-stroke lead with two holes to play but made a double bogey on the par-five eighth hole to eventually finish with a two-under 69 and at five-under for the tournament.

He found himself tied with Willamette's Brock Olson with a 137 total after the two rounds, bound for his second medalist playoff in the last two years at the NWC Championship. Bailey sank a mid-range birdie putt to secure medalist honors in back-to-back seasons.

Landaker dropped to fifth for the tournament with a final round 76, making two birdies. Hudson rounded out his senior tournament with an 82 on Monday to finish 24th individually.

Owen Irving bounced back with a two-over 73 on Monday, jumping up 11 spots to tie for 28th. Ng finished with a 79 in the final round, tying with Irving for 28th individually.

Linfield's rounds of 277 (-7) and 297 (+13) placed them in second for the tournament, and fell to second in the overall aggregate stroke total for the season.

The Willamette Bearcats comeback gave them the aggregate stroke total title with a score of 1,735, edging out the Wildcats by 11 strokes.
